About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated AI Solutions Engineer (Customer Projects) to join our interdisciplinary team of HPC experts. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and scientific research. You will be responsible for developing innovative AI prototypes that address specific customer challenges, such as data analysis and automation, leveraging GWDG's AI infrastructure. Your role will involve close collaboration with clients to understand their requirements, clarify use cases, and iteratively refine prototypes based on their feedback.
Responsibilities
- Develop prototypes exploring how AI-based approaches can solve specific customer challenges, including data analysis and automation tasks
- Collaborate directly with clients to gather requirements, clarify use cases, and iteratively refine prototypes based on their feedback
- Integrate diverse technologies, such as databases, cloud services, and machine learning frameworks, to build functional demonstrations
- Design tailored solutions that leverage GWDG's existing AI infrastructure to meet customer needs
- Document prototypes to facilitate internal knowledge sharing and smooth customer handover
Qualifications
- Strong technical background with experience in Python programming, application design, and development
- Proven expertise in Linux system integration, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders
- Broad understanding of various technologies and the capacity to judge appropriate solutions
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields
