Backend Engineer (all genders)– PHP & Golang

Your tasks

• Developing cutting-edge technology and designing scalable and robust backend solutions for our Kaufland Marketplaces
• Taking ownership of end-to-end feature development, from designing and coding to testing, deployment, and monitoring in production environments
• Working closely together with different stakeholders and other engineers, communicating effectively to achieve a common goal
• Contributing to the evolution of our development processes and methodologies, exploring new tools and technologies that can enhance our engineering practices
• Writing clean, maintainable, and high-performance code while adhering to best practices
• Mentoring and guiding junior engineers in pair programming sessions, fostering a culture of learning and growth

Your profile

• You have an educational level that corresponds to completed university studies in (business) information technology, (business) engineering, mathematics, or physics, or you have comparable practical experience
• You have extensive experience in backend development, with a comprehensive and profound experience in PHP and/or Golang, which demonstrates your practical knowledge in real-world scenarios
• You have a solid understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, and microservices architecture and familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
• You have the drive to continuously develop both yourself and your team further in order to become a little bit better every day
• You have excellent communication skills, are willing to embrace our company culture and values, and enjoy working in an international, English-speaking team
