Responsibilities
- Developing cutting-edge technology and designing scalable and robust backend solutions for our Kaufland Marketplaces
- Taking ownership of end-to-end feature development, from designing and coding to testing, deployment, and monitoring in production environments
- Working closely with different stakeholders and other engineers, communicating effectively to achieve a common goal
- Contributing to the evolution of our development processes and methodologies, exploring new tools and technologies that can enhance our engineering practices
- Writing clean, maintainable, and high-performance code while adhering to best practices
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers in pair programming sessions, fostering a culture of learning and growth
Requirements
- Educational level corresponding to completed university studies in (business) information technology, (business) engineering, mathematics, or physics, or comparable practical experience
- Extensive experience in backend development, with a comprehensive and profound experience in PHP and/or Go, demonstrating practical knowledge in real-world scenarios
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, and microservices architecture, and familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
- Drive to continuously develop both yourself and your team further in order to become a little bit better every day
- Excellent communication skills, willingness to embrace the company culture and values, and enjoy working in an international, English-speaking team
