About the Role
Grid Technologies, the division of Siemens Energy, is enabling a reliable, sustainable, and digital power grid. As a Data Processing Engineer, you will guide data from field acquisition to customer delivery, ensuring seamless and precise operations. You will coordinate with internal teams and external partners to drive process improvements and deliver high-quality results to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire data processing lifecycle, from ingestion and validation to final delivery
- Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure alignment on timelines, quality standards, and technical requirements
- Independently execute data ingest and processing tasks, troubleshooting challenges as they arise
- Drive automation and process optimization initiatives by identifying opportunities and collaborating with development and product teams
- Act as the operational interface for our digital solution, supporting Customer Success Managers and ensuring customer expectations are met
- Develop how-to guides and tutorials for the Data Processing Knowledge Base
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, Data Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
- Several years of hands-on experience in data processing, workflow management, or technical project execution, ideally within industrial or field service environments
- Strong technical grasp of data pipelines, ETL processes, and automation tools, comfortable working with Python, SQL, or similar technologies
- Skilled in coordinating with subcontractors and external service providers, with strong organizational and communication abilities
- Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments, remaining decisive and effective even when facing uncertainty
- Fluent in English, with German language skills and willingness to travel across time zones and cultures as an asset
