DevOps Engineer, Trident
AWS is seeking a System Engineer that will autonomously drive the design and implementation of new services, find ways to improve and automate our existing services, and provide escalation and mentoring for junior team members. They will be working in a large-scale, high availability environment, managing our Cloud Management, Automation, Storage and Simulation suite of services.
Responsibilities
- Dive deep into understanding the root cause of customer issues
- Investigate why metrics are trending the wrong way and consult with senior engineers
- Own our services and implement Operational Excellence best practices
- Automate manual processes to keep software up-to-date
- Provide data and metrics to help manage the capacity and efficiency of our services
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues using networking knowledge
- Communicate clearly and collaborate with others to deliver results
Requirements
- Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration
- Experience working with Linux
- Experience in systems engineering
- Experience in programming languages like Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, or Shell
