Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a 70+ person engineering team across 5 domains
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, business-impacting software at scale
- Drive continuous improvement, incident management, and reliability
- Partner with Product and Data to align tech strategy with company goals
- Mentor and develop managers and senior engineers, raising the bar for leadership and execution
- Oversee IT & InfoSec as part of the wider tech scope
Requirements
- Proven track record leading large engineering organizations (50+ people)
- Experience in tech-enabled companies, ideally e-commerce, retail, or supply chain
- Strong technical foundation and history as a software engineer
- Experience with scaling platforms, integrations, and incident management
- Excellent communicator who can translate complex tech into business impact
- Based in Portugal or Germany (Lisbon or Frankfurt preferred), with flexibility for remote work
