Responsibilities
- Ensure 24/7 availability and performance of all responsible platforms and applications for end customers, customer service, and other departments through analysis and optimization of the supported systems as well as the establishment of efficient monitoring
- Coordinate and drive the independent, targeted processing and resolution of highly complex incidents through collaboration with, as well as the management of development units, external suppliers, and other service providers
- Support the optimization of software quality through the continuous analysis of occurring errors (incident/problem management) and regular review meetings with development partners as well as test and delivery teams
- Support project work in the feasibility, implementation, and stabilization phases after go-live
- Ensure compliance with the prescribed security guidelines for the responsible applications, systems, and platforms through analysis of access and authorizations, as well as the implementation of corrective measures and support during SOX and security audits
- Automate workflows through analysis and optimization of processes and methods, as well as continuous adaptation of reporting, monitoring, and alerting
- Independently manage external employees in the Shared Service Center or external service providers for the provision of services for the responsible systems
- Technically manage external and internal service providers and suppliers of IT systems and supported business processes
Requirements
- Completed technical or business engineering degree or comparable education
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in operating complex system landscapes
- Comprehensive process and IT know-how in the telecommunications industry
- Solid knowledge in the areas of operating systems, middleware/web technologies, and databases
- Proficient knowledge in UNIX scripting, Perl, PL/SQL, Python, etc.
- Pronounced analytical, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurial thinking and action
- ITIL knowledge and Kepner-Tregoe methodology skills
- Basic network and protocol knowledge, as well as experience in load balancing
- Fluent English skills (B1.x), German skills are desirable
