About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Full-stack Python Developer to join our team on a full-time basis in a hybrid work environment. This role is integral to our digital transformation initiatives, focusing on developing and enhancing our ERP systems and e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in co-developing a new ERP solution based on Odoo, replacing existing web shop infrastructure, and creating various modules to extend the functionality of Odoo. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a small, agile team where short communication channels and collaborative decision-making are valued. The role involves digitizing internal and external processes, contributing to innovative projects, and supporting the company's ongoing growth and technological advancement.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating in the development and enhancement of a comprehensive ERP solution based on Odoo, ensuring it meets business needs and scalability requirements.
- Replacing and upgrading the existing web shop infrastructure with a new, integrated solution within Odoo, improving customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Designing, developing, and deploying various modules to extend the functionality of the Odoo ERP system, tailored to the specific needs of the precious metals and jewelry industry.
- Digitizing and automating internal workflows and external processes to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
- Participating in the integration of third-party systems and services, such as Keycloak for authentication and containerization tools like Docker.
- Ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of developed applications, adopting best practices in coding and deployment.
- Contributing to team discussions, code reviews, and documentation to maintain high-quality standards and knowledge sharing.
- Supporting the team with troubleshooting, bug fixing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Python development, demonstrating a strong command of the language and related frameworks.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of front-end development principles.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience working with Odoo ERP system.
- Knowledge of working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
- Excellent command of the German language (C2 level), facilitating effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in integrating and extending Keycloak for identity and access management.
- Familiarity with Docker containerization, including container deployment and management.
- Experience working with Postgres and SQL Server databases.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Background in requirements management and process consulting.
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Ability to read and interpret VBA code.
