About the client and location
The European Organisation for the Exploration of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) is a political organisation comprising of 30 European member states. EUMETSAT operates satellites to monitor weather, climate, and the changing environment. They are responsible for helping to isolate potentially dangerous weather conditions that could affect air travel, farming and other key service industries.
Tasks and activities
- Collecting business requirements for new Identity & Access Management evolution activities.
- Preparing IAM processes and designing new IAM solutions aligned with the business requirements and processes.
- Implementing IAM solutions, including UAT and NRT sessions.
- Security engineering activities within the scope of maintaining and operating a custom-built IAM system.
- Integration, testing, and troubleshooting activities for applications and systems interfacing with the IAM solution.
- Managing end-to-end application onboarding to the IAM solution, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders.
Skills and experience
- Strong delivery leadership experience in enterprise IAM or adjacent security platforms, successfully driving outcomes and unblocking multiple teams under time pressure.
- Hands-on mindset, backed by experience in Python development and a strong grasp of the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
- Excellent technical expertise across Microsoft identity platforms, including Entra ID/Azure AD, SCIM provisioning, Conditional Access/MFA, AD attribute and OU design, and service account permissions.
- Integration experience with HR and line-of-business systems, especially SAP S/4HANA HR feeds, PII matching, and personal data processing policy alignment.
- Proven Agile delivery experience, including backlog ownership, risk and issue management, dependency mapping, stakeholder management, and metrics-driven reporting across tools such as Jira, Confluence, and XRAY.
- Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
- Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
