About The Role

We are seeking a skilled (Senior) Network Engineer (m/w/d) to join our Network Team in Essen. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of high-availability, secure network infrastructures across the Deichmann Group. Your expertise will contribute to the development and operation of modern network solutions based on CISCO and Infoblox technologies. You will play a vital role in the continuous improvement and monitoring of our systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. Additionally, you will oversee the CISCO ACI environment within our dedicated data center, acting as an innovator by introducing and implementing cutting-edge networking technologies. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a completed IT-related or comparable technical education, complemented by extensive experience in LAN, WAN, WLAN, and complex network services. Proven expertise in CISCO-based network infrastructures and relevant certifications are essential. The candidate should demonstrate excellent teamwork, customer service orientation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Strong analytical and structured working methods, along with experience managing projects, are highly valued. A continuous interest in emerging technologies and a forward-thinking mindset are crucial for success in this role. Proficiency in German and English is required to facilitate effective communication within our international environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer high-availability, secure network infrastructures across the Deichmann Group.
• Develop and operate modern network solutions based on CISCO and Infoblox technologies.
• Monitor system performance and oversee the ongoing development of network systems, ensuring stability and security.
• Coordinate project requirements with relevant departments to ensure seamless integration and execution.
• Manage and optimize the CISCO ACI environment within our dedicated data center.
• Act as an innovator by researching and implementing new networking technologies and solutions.
