Responsibilities
- Drive and lead digital innovation projects with internal and external stakeholders across pre-clinical drug discovery
- Apply your data science expertise to deliver high-quality analyses in areas such as high-throughput screening, DMPK, PK/PD, and safety pharmacology
- Identify internal and external innovation opportunities and integrate them into the data science landscape
- Collaborate with partners across drug discovery disciplines to support ongoing discovery programs
- Guide students and scientists and provide expert data science advice
- Promote digital innovation by sharing your results at expert meetings, conferences, and in peer-reviewed publications
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Pharmacology, or a related quantitative discipline
- Several years of relevant postdoctoral or industry experience working in multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated success in driving digital innovation in pharmaceutical research, drug discovery, biology or medicine
- Profound understanding of mathematics, statistics and data science approaches with proven application to drug discovery
- Proficiency in scientific programming languages (e.g., Python or R), common data science tools and advanced data analytics
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external drug discovery experts
- Experience in leading peers and working in cross-functional matrix project teams
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
