Responsibilities

• Design and build large-scale, resilient storage systems
• Innovate and support new technological architectures
• Think globally when building systems to ensure high performance and scalability
• Translate customer needs into workable technology solutions
• Provide technical leadership and architecture vision for the Aurora storage layer
• Share updates with AWS leadership, get buy-in, and work with stakeholder teams
• Mentor engineers, establish and demand best practices through engineering leadership
• Immerse yourself in the software development lifecycle to deliver exceptional results

Requirements

• 10+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience creating architectural vision
• Experience designing and building large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment
• Experience influencing groups outside their own VP from an architecture perspective
