Responsibilities
- Support planning, coordination, and reporting of software development tasks
- Contribute to the C++/Python development of state-of-the-art methodologies, concepts, and software components
- Work with diverse medical data modalities and AI-derived models
- Provide consultation to research groups on software engineering practices
- Advise on open-source licensing, governance, and research software publication
- Collaborate with researchers to design and implement modern software and data workflows
- Contribute to the development and improvement of research software consulting services
- Participate in national and international consortia related to research software engineering
- Support education and training activities in research software engineering
Requirements
- Masters degree in computer science, scientific computing, or a related discipline
- Solid experience in modern, sustainable software engineering practices
- Strong programming skills in C++ or Python
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in English; German language skills are an advantage
