SATCOM Ground Station & AI Software Engineer (d/f/m)
Airbus Defence & Space is working on a new satellite-based communication system. The constellation of satellites will offer connectivity to the customer, allowing connecting elements through satellite RF and optical links. In order to actively monitor and control the Mission configuration for the communication chain, a set of new tools is under development at Airbus DS.
Responsibilities
- Analyse customer requirements and contribute to the definition of the adequate internal System, subsystem and Software requirements
- Support the definition of the Software Architecture, ensuring robustness and compatibility with existing software modules and AI engines
- Develop applicative solutions to enable smooth Mission and Ground Station Management, possibly making use of Airbus internal/external AI services
- Support the coordination of the subcontractors, with particular focus on the Design phase
- Conduct analysis on Software non-conformances, discrepancies and waivers
- Analyse data from validation tests to determine whether systems and processes meet required criteria and specifications
Requirements
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Aerospace or other related Engineering
- Considerable experience in Software Architecture & Development in the field of Ground Segment (e.g. Ground Stations, SCC, PCC)
- Familiarity with ground stations concepts: RF chains, Antenna control Systems, signal processing and data acquisition systems
- Experience in BackEnd / FrontEnd Software Architecture & Development principles and methods (UML, Spring Boot, OOP, micro services)
- Experience with Software IVV tools and methods (CI/CD pipelines, Unit, Integration & E2E testing)
- Knowledge of AGILE Development Lifecycle (Kanban, SCRUM, SAfE)
