Senior Director, Software Engineering & Delivery

Responsibilities

• Manage the software engineering lifecycle across Applications, Data, DevOps, and QA
• Directly oversee the Scrum Master function to ensure delivery processes are optimized and aligned with engineering goals
• Design and implement a pragmatic agile framework tailored to a high-growth SMB environment
• Develop and maintain a proactive scorecard of metrics to determine productivity and efficiency across all engineering roles
• Architect and design modular, scalable, and secure systems across internal and member-facing applications
• Partner with Digital Platform Leads and Marketing to modernize and transform the Association's websites, member portal, eCommerce, Education and Data systems
• Optimize the mix of internal FTEs and external strategic partners, and hold them accountable for high engineering standards
• Lead technical design reviews and foster a 'build it right the first time' culture

Requirements

• At least 10 years of senior engineering leadership experience, managing multi-disciplinary teams (App, Data, QA, DevOps) and Scrum Masters
• Demonstrated success in evolving Agile/Scrum practices to improve velocity and predictability in an SMB environment
• Experience building internal productivity dashboards that connect technical output to operational health
• Professional familiarity with AWS, .NET, PHP (Drupal/WordPress), React, SQL Server, Power BI, GitHub and CI/CD platforms
