Responsibilities
- Identify fluid loss within a manufacturing process and develop solutions to reduce it
- Lead kaizens to identify root causes within the manufacturing process and develop corrective and preventative actions
- Design and lead complex experiments, independently execute and/or direct others in the execution of project tasks
- Conceptualize complete solutions, create or coordinate the design solutions for novel or complex problems
- Serve as a subject matter expert or independent technical expert on project technical matters
- Ensure timely and compliant documentation
- Participate on cross-functional teams to support organizational goals
- Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the Quality System
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (± 16 years) in Engineering or a related field
- Typically 5+ years of relevant work experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
- Ability to work on complex problems
- Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Aptitude to use various databases and computer software
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Willingness and ability to quickly gain new knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts is an asset
