Responsibilities
- Develop, automate, and enhance end-to-end reporting solutions (risks, positions, performance KPIs, market insights) for energy trading and portfolio management.
- Transform complex market, risk, and operational data into clear, actionable insights and report to senior leadership across E.ON Energy Markets.
- Drive the evolution of our reporting framework, shape our curated data layers, develop our target-state reporting architecture, and steer the end-to-end implementation.
- Support definition of our reporting strategy and roadmap.
- Collaborate closely with Back-, Middle- & Front Office, Business Implementation and IT to align reporting logic, valuations, benchmarks, dashboards, data model and data pipelines.
- Own and continuously improve automated workflows, dashboards, and data models to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Contribute to the development, generation, validation, and quality assurance of Price Forward Curves used across E.ON.
- Lead analytical deep dives on profitability, risks, drivers and market dynamics for multiple stakeholders and E.ON SE committees.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to (junior) analysts in the reporting team.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar quantitative field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in energy markets, trading, risk management, controlling, or advanced data analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI/DAX, Python or other analytics & reporting tools.
- Proven experience building scalable reporting solutions and working with large, complex datasets.
- Hands on with Azure data/analytics services (e.g., Purview, Fabric/Databricks, Data Lake) and scaled agile ways of working.
- Experience with curve modelling, market data analysis, and quantitative methodologies is a strong plus.
- Strong conceptual thinking and ability to translate business needs into robust data and reporting models.
- Fluent in English (German is a plus) with a talent for presenting complex topics in a clear, concise, management-ready manner.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced environments, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive topics independently.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
