Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and testing HiL platforms software
- Defining and refining the architecture of HiL platforms to ensure optimal performance and scalability, focusing on software aspects such as Test Supervisors, Real-Time Simulation Frameworks, Databases and interfaces with the Front-Ends
- Evaluating and selecting appropriate software tools and frameworks for the platforms
- Performing make-or-buy analyses; collaborating with external partners or vendors to request, evaluate, and integrate software solutions
- Developing software tools and scripts to interface the various components of the HiL and to automatize platform set-up, test runs and test exploitations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives and seamless integration of the HiL platform with other subsystems
- Driving continuous improvement to enhance the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of HIL platforms
- Providing support for troubleshooting and resolving integration issues
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in designing and operating HiL platforms for aerospace applications
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and MATLAB
- Familiarity with communication protocols and interfaces used in aerospace systems
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting for test execution and data analysis
