Your Role
As a Systems Engineer, you will lead the translation of stakeholder needs into clear, structured, and testable requirements. You will operate at the heart of the systems engineering process, working closely with product, hardware, software, and QA teams. Your work will ensure that requirements are consistent, traceable, verifiable, and support the long-term maintainability of Priva's solutions.
Responsibilities
- Capture stakeholder needs and translate them into clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria
- Build and maintain a structured requirements hierarchy aligned with systems engineering principles
- Ensure end-to-end traceability from system requirements to implementation and release artifacts
- Manage bidirectional traceability to support impact analysis (changes, defects, incidents)
- Facilitate requirements workshops, reviews, and stakeholder alignment
- Apply risk-based thinking (e.g. FMEA) to identify failure scenarios
- Define and support Verification & Validation (V&V) strategies
- Maintain versioning, baselining, and change control in line with audit and compliance standards
- Ensure requirements are accessible, maintainable, and usable across teams
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in requirements engineering / systems engineering for complex systems
- Strong expertise in writing clear, unambiguous, and testable requirements
- Experience working across hardware, embedded systems, and software teams
- Proven experience with requirements management and traceability
- Experience with V-model, lifecycle management, and V&V processes
- Experience with tooling such as DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or Azure DevOps (or similar)
- Experience with baselining, versioning, and change control
- Comfortable facilitating workshops and aligning stakeholders
- Experience in IoT, embedded systems, or building automation
