Responsibilities
- Plan, initiate and manage the IT services of the institute (e.g., IT-technical integration of scientific systems and test infrastructure into the institute's systems and DLR networks)
- Administer Linux servers (desktops/endpoints - Ubuntu/Red Hat) and install and maintain end devices
- Develop concepts for the institute and harmonize the facility concepts with the central guidelines for implementation
- Programming in Bash, PowerShell, Python or similar, e.g., for automating processes, creating backups and snapshots
- Organize, coordinate and initiate IT security measures at the institute
- Establish IT security-specific documentation according to the requirements of the DLR IT security officer
- Regularly train and inform employees and external personnel with access to the DLR premises or IT network on IT security matters
Requirements
- Completed university degree (FH/Bachelor) in the fields of information and communication technology, computer science, business informatics or other relevant degree programs, or equivalent skills and experience
- Demonstrable experience in setting up and administering Linux client/servers (Ubuntu/Red Hat) and Windows client/servers
- Solid programming and database knowledge (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
- Demonstrable knowledge in the field of system maintenance of computer networks and workstation systems
- Very good German and English skills in written and spoken form
