As an AI Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in developing and integrating AI-based features that deliver real value to our products and processes.
Responsibilities
- Developing and integrating AI-based product features (e.g., recommendation engines, chatbots, automations, LLM-based assistants)
- Building and maintaining AI services and APIs for production use (e.g., with FastAPI, Azure ML, LangChain, Hugging Face, Vertex AI, or OpenAI APIs)
- Collaborating with data scientists to transition models into scalable applications
- Ownership of AI use case design – from business problem to technical solution architecture
- Utilizing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), prompt engineering, and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, Azure Cognitive Search)
- Ensuring quality, security, and governance in AI solutions
- Supporting prototyping and proof-of-concept for new AI functionalities
- Monitoring new trends in GenAI, agents, and multimodal models, and evaluating their relevance for the company
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Multiple years of experience in developing AI/LLM-based applications in the cloud as well as building human-in-the-loop processes
- Excellent Python skills and API development experience (e.g., FastAPI) as well as integration of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Azure OpenAI)
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (containerization, deployment, scaling, operations)
- Strong expertise with relational databases and SQL (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL): schema design, query optimization, transactions, and clean interfaces
- Confident handling of Git and modern source control/branching strategies; basic knowledge of CI/CD
- Experience with RAG, vector databases, and prompt engineering as well as common frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex)
- Familiar with cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP), API design, security, and access/governance concepts
- Excellent communication skills to bridge tech and business teams
- Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken)
Nice to Have
- Experience with MLOps (deployment, monitoring, feature stores, model lifecycle) and build/release pipelines
- Knowledge of C/C++ for high-performance, hardware-near libraries and Python bindings
- Experience in UX/product thinking for AI features (A/B testing, telemetry, metrics)
