AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Responsibilities
- Build reports, dashboards, and analyses to deliver metrics and insights to the business
- Translate difficult business problem statements into analysis requirements and maintain high bar throughout the execution
- Define analytical approach; review and vet analytical approach with stakeholders
- Proactively and independently work with stakeholders to construct use cases and associated standardized outputs
- Have a working knowledge of the data available or needed by the wider business for more complex or comparative analysis
- Report key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines that impact the business
- Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know how, when, and which
Requirements
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
