About the Role
Gas Services offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Services unit, working on challenging projects across the energy industry. Your responsibilities include managing data pipelines, integrating machine learning models, and preparing data for advanced analytics.
Responsibilities
- Manage data pipelines, connectivity, and transformation, integrating machine learning models to optimize project support
- Utilize state-of-the-art technologies, Python, and SQL for acquiring, ingesting, and transforming big datasets
- Create and manage cloud or on-premise data environments, ensuring infrastructure models capture data from sources
- Own data warehousing processes, mapping data fields to hypotheses, and preparing data for advanced analytics models
- Maintain information security standards, contribute to cross-functional problem-solving, and deliver presentations
- Stay updated on data science principles and technologies, document methods, and collaborate with the global team
Requirements
- Possess knowledge of software engineering concepts, best practices, and peer review processes, with strong communication skills in English
- Experienced in building production data pipelines, handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, and preparing data for analytics
- Skilled in connectivity, data transformation, integrating ML models, and IT infrastructure topics like IP, VLAN, VPC, VPN. Good knowledge of Snowflake and AWS
- Proficient in creating and designing ETL chains, serverless technologies (Python, .NET), and setting up data warehousing systems
- Familiar with workflow orchestration tools and passionate about driving data value across organizations and ecosystems
- Strong customer focus, excellent team player, and ability to navigate global, multicultural environments; industry-related experience is a plus
