We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the OTT Live team at Axel Springer National Media & Tech. Our team is responsible for building and maintaining the core services that power live streaming for major media brands.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy and operate production services end to end in an agile, self-managed, product-focused team
- Within our microservice ecosystem, develop and evolve new services that are observable, resilient and horizontally scalable
- Raise the quality bar by writing lean, well-tested code and apply BDD where it adds value
- Through automation, codify infrastructure and delivery using GitOps and CI / CD to increase speed with the right guardrails
- Keep production healthy by instrumenting metrics, logs and traces while turning incidents into learning opportunities
Requirements
- Significant professional experience in delivering software to production
- Deep expertise in one or two areas such as backend, data, observability or cloud, and the ability to connect dots across the stack
- Hands-on experience across the full lifecycle, from requirements and design to implementation, testing and operations
- Experience in at least two of the following: Agile / Lean, BDD, DevOps / GitOps, multiple programming languages or Flutter / UI development
- A pragmatic mindset, enabling you to learn fast and choose the right tool for the job
