Responsibilities
- Take a leading role within a cross-discipline agile team to create future-oriented solutions to complex problems in a complex enterprise environment and shepherd them through the entire SDLC lifecycle.
- Take technical ownership of projects and components and collaborate with other engineers, architects and other stakeholders to ensure that business, technical, governance and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
- Engage actively in mentoring, knowledge sharing, development and coaching not only members of your squad, but developers in the Services Tribe and across the Bank.
- Contribute to a culture of delivering excellence and constant improvement, maintaining stability, risk management, and control with every release milestone. Collaborate with QA and DevOps to keep products reliable and secure.
Requirements
- Outstanding software engineering skills with JVM languages (Java/Kotlin) and/or Python to build complex backend applications and practical experience with modern SDLC (Git, CI/CD pipelines) and cloud (GCP preferred) technologies.
- Practical knowledge of architectural and system design topics, including microservices, concurrency, database design, distributed systems, and message or event based systems.
- General familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning technology in general and LLMs in particular; professional application such as MLOps or LLM-powered services is a plus.
- Experience in financial institutions or other highly regulated environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; German is not required but will be an asset.
