We're 100+ people across the globe with 45 engineers, launching new products to become the global standard. We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to ship these products as we scale across Europe and enter the US.
Responsibilities
- Design features that handle enterprise traffic across regions
- Optimize critical paths for performance and reliability
- Follow patterns for code quality, testing, and readiness
- Partner with DevOps on deployments and monitoring
- Champion operational excellence in engineering decisions
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience building backend systems that thrived in production traffic
- Intimate knowledge of PHP (modern practices, not the stuff that makes people wince)
- Understanding of the practical trade-offs between consistency, availability, and partition tolerance
- Experience optimizing databases, debugging race conditions, and making architectural decisions
- Ability to think in systems, not just tickets
- Strong focus on reliability and performance
- Comfortable with ownership - ship it, own it, sleep soundly
