Responsibilities
- Implement, improve, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployments, minimize downtime, and support developer self-service
- Administer, tune, and troubleshoot high-performance Linux servers and middleware to maximize web throughput
- Maintain, optimize, and extend the monitoring, logging, and observability stack (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, Jaeger) to ensure deep operational visibility and system reliability
- Manage hybrid cloud and on-premise environments, optimize costs, and maintain containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes), including scalability, auto-scaling, and load balancing
- Collaborate with the DevOps team in resolving high-severity incidents and help improve processes, tooling, and documentation to strengthen operational efficiency and resilience
- Ensure infrastructure security through secrets management, network segmentation, and automated vulnerability scanning
Requirements
- Extensive Linux expertise, ideally 6+ years working with high-availability, public-facing, and high-throughput environments
- Solid hands-on cloud experience (3+ years with AWS, GCP, or Azure), ideally within hybrid or mixed environments
- An innovator with strong opinions, quick problem-solving abilities, and a results-oriented attitude
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code mindset, with proven experience using Terraform alongside a configuration management tool such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Automation-focused approach, with strong Bash skills and experience using a higher-level language such as Python or Go to streamline workflows and eliminate manual effort
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, routing, firewalls, and performance troubleshooting
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, modern deployment practices, and collaborative engineering environments
- Comfortable working as part of a team-driven DevOps function, contributing to shared platforms, standards, and reliability improvements alongside self-motivated individual work
- A pragmatic problem-solver with strong communication skills and a focus on building maintainable, scalable, and reliable infrastructure
