Responsibilities
- Proactively manage the independent recovery network in a defined region
- Ensure we provide a professional, high quality & cost effective service to our clients
- Visit agents, dealers and suppliers to review issues and provide training
- Identify areas within the region which do not have suitable coverage and liaise with the Regional Manager to appoint/terminate service providers
- Ensure all new service providers fully meet the Company's contractual requirements
- Maintain all network related activity on the Assistance IT platform and other associated IT solutions
- Analyze network suppliers' KPIs, identify poor performance and provide individual suppliers with a performance improvement plan
- Participate in the Mystery Shop Programme
- Organize and participate in Network Training days and trade shows
- Develop relationships with key motor manufacturer dealers in a defined region
- Manage other providers of assistance services as determined by the Regional Manager
- Investigate and document any complaints received relating to a recovery
- Inspect vehicles to determine the extent of damage and potential liability
- Advise vehicle recovery operators on any aspects of the recovery operation
- Support the operations team with training and technical information
- Resolve complaints in an impartial and diplomatic way
Requirements
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English
- City & Guilds/BTEC in Motor Vehicle Engineering, NVQ in Automotive Studies, or equivalent
- Proven managerial background in an operational environment (field or office-based)
- Contract management skills
- Knowledge of UK Recovery Network operational processes, systems, and industry legislation
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in working with and managing relationships and performance of TPAs
- Good working knowledge of the UK recovery industry
- Experience with LGV
- Full, clean, and current driving license
- Ability to lift and carry equipment used in the recovery industry
- Willingness to travel extensively and periodically stay overnight away from home
